So THAT'S what they meant....
I had a design teacher who used to yell at me for not doing proper design development. I never knew what he meant and he refused to explain himself when I asked.
I think I JUST now figured out what he wanted as I’ve started doing design sheets for my job. I think what he wanted was pages of similar designs with slight variation. I used to just sketch an idea and skip to another one instead...

Self-employed

Coco de Mer feedback
So I finally heard back from Coco de Mer. The woman I met with informs me that the owner really loved my ideas and wants to move forward, but at the moment they aren’t ready to get involved in production of this level. But they want to keep in touch and proceed at a later date. So, I guess that’s good?

On Leaving London

Coco de Mer meeting
So, I think it went well. It’s hard to say. I was very nervous and chatty.

Aaaaand I’m off to Coco de Mer head office. I’m feeling much more confident about it all today.
I showed my art director boyfriend my ideas and he said they were well thought out and original, which is high praise coming from him. That did a lot to boost my confidence, coming from someone who looks at portfolios and artwork all day.
